Reading an introduction

Read the introductions of the following papers:

• Breaking Through Binaries: Compiler-quality Instrumentation for Better Binary-only Fuzzing (Nagy et al.)
• Exploiting Input Sanitization for Regex Denial of Service (Barlas, Du, & Davis)

For each paper, write a bulleted list of short statements. The list should contain:

• Context
• Prior work in the area
• Gaps in prior work
• What the paper does to address the gaps
• Results, if applicable
